We're off to the Rhein

Our day began with shopping! What a way to wake up! The girls wandered the shops (H & M, Mango, Zero, Pimkie) just outside our hotel while the boys went and picked up the rental cars


Then we loaded up and got on the Autobahn... Ryan was excited to drive at top speed



We arrived at our destination: Bacharach, on the Rhein River



We stayed in a hotel that is IN the orginal wall of the city, what a funky little place!



Then we went to the waterfront to catch a ride on a boat tour



We saw A LOT of castles



It was a beautiful day to ride the river




We docked in Boppard where we had a FABULOUS meal together complete with the regions local Reisling wine. Then a bit tipsy, we took the train back to Bacharach



This trip has been so much fun so far! I haven't gotten much sleep, haven't had much time to do a good blog, but we have seen a lot and had fun together. It is difficult to move 8 people at once, packing and unpacking, deciding on sights to see and where to eat, but everyone seems to get along well! No black eyes yet! ;) Now we head for Rothenburg, via the Romantische StraBe... see you again soon!
